T-Mobile getting Palm Centro?

The latest rumor is that the Palm Centro is heading for T-Mobile. We’ve already heard that AT&T is getting the Centro but now it seems that T-Mobile wants in on the action as well. Sprint’s exclusive deal with Palm is running out and everyone has noticed what a success the Centro has been. Now they want in on the action too.(The picture is just a mock up of a previously AT&T branded white Centro.)  

Dell to announce Google Phone next month?

Rumors are once again flying about Google’s android mobile operating system. Marketing News has an article that adds fuel to the speculation fire. According to the article “senior industry sources” say Google and Dell will announce their plans to launch a Dell branded phone running the Google OS at next month’s 3GSM telecoms conference in Barcelona.Marketing News is quick to note that “Google insiders deny an announcement is due in the near future.”

HTC ranked first Palm second in Windows Mobile PDA phones

Digitimes reports that although HTC is losing it’s dominating market share in the Windows Mobile smartphone arena (down from 50% to 30%), they are still the number one vendor for Windows Mobile PDA phones. Surprisingly, the number 2 spot is held by Palm who has a market share of 10%. That’s great news for all the Windows Mobile Treo fans out there.  

AT&T’s white Centro has green keypad

AT&T is about to launch their version of a white Palm Centro. The GSM version of the already successful miniature Treo is supposedly going to be released on February 19 on AT&T’s network. BGR already got has his hands on one of these white Centros and surprise, surprise, the keyboard is green. AT&T’s version of the Treo will only support EDGE at this point. It has a built-in camera and runs Palm OS.
